The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium has appealed to the Belgian authorities regarding the announced participation of an artist from the Russian Federation in this year’s “Night of Museums in Antwerp.” This was reported by the Ukrainian diplomatic mission on Facebook, Ukrinform reports. The Embassy of Ukraine expresses concern that the program of the “Night of Museums in Antwerp” includes a performance by Daria Patrikeyeva from Russia. “At a time when Ukraine is defending itself against Russian military aggression, the participation of representatives of the aggressor state in prominent public cultural events raises important ethical and societal concerns,” the diplomats emphasize. The diplomatic mission calls on the organizers to reconsider their decision in view of the humanitarian and ethical context created by Russian aggression against Ukraine.
